What Happened To AAA, AA and A Team Names?

Sep 22

In order to standardize all teams in the “Hockey Canada” world, NSFIHA has been asked to change our way of identifying teams.

Carded teams were AAAnow they are A.

Non-carded teams were AA and A…now they are all C.

For example:
(AAA) is now “A”
(AA) is now “C1”
(A) is now “C2”; and
“C3” would be next.
